A brake system of a new energy tractor comprises a pedal control assembly, an electric control brake assembly, a left hydraulic brake assembly and a right hydraulic brake assembly, the pedal control assembly comprises a left brake pedal cantilever, a right brake pedal cantilever, a duplex brake pump and a sensor support, the left brake pedal cantilever and the right brake pedal cantilever are arranged side by side, and the duplex brake pump and the sensor support are installed on a wall plate of an instrument desk of the tractor. The electric control braking assembly comprises a controller capable of controlling a left driving motor and a right driving motor of the tractor to operate respectively, a left brake pedal cantilever and a right brake pedal cantilever can rotate synchronously or independently, two angle sensors are installed on a sensor support, and the angle sensors can transmit the rotation angle of a brake pedal to the controller. The controller can control the driving motor to generate the reverse dragging torque, the reverse dragging torque of the driving motor can be matched with the braking force of the friction plate of the hydraulic braking assembly to brake the wheels on the two sides or the single side, the braking performance of the new energy tractor is remarkably improved, and potential safety hazards of the new energy tractor during braking are reduced.
