According to the method, the compensation coefficient can be determined according to the fuel endurance mileage calculation value and the fuel endurance mileage display value, and then the fuel endurance mileage display value is updated through the compensation coefficient and the driving mileage, so that the fuel endurance mileage display value is matched with the actual endurance mileage of the remaining fuel under the current working condition; the endurance mileage display deviation is directly and effectively reduced, the accuracy of the fuel endurance mileage display value of the hybrid electric vehicle is improved, and the user experience feeling is improved.
