A camera mirror system for a vehicle includes a first exterior camera and a second exterior camera configured to provide a captured image of an exterior of the vehicle corresponding to a view of a legal specification. The system also includes a first display and a second display within the cabin of the vehicle, the first display and the second display configured to depict the captured images from the first external camera and the second external camera, respectively. The system also includes a first interior camera and a second interior camera configured to capture images of a driver within a cockpit of the vehicle. The first internal camera and the second internal camera respectively have a first internal field of view and a second internal field of view that overlap each other in a vehicle driver area within the vehicle cockpit, the first display in the second internal field of view, and the second display in the first internal field of view. The system also includes a controller in communication with the first and second displays and the first and second internal cameras. The controller is configured to monitor driver activity in the vehicle driver area using the first internal camera and the second internal camera. The controller is configured to initiate a calibration procedure in response to a calibration event. The calibration program includes a first display and a second display depicting a first pattern and a second pattern, respectively, and a first internal camera and a second internal camera detecting the second pattern and the first pattern, respectively, to calibrate the first camera and the second camera with respect to the vehicle driver area, the distance between each of the first internal camera and the second internal camera and the second pattern and the distance between each of the first internal camera and the second pattern and the distance between each of the second internal camera and the first pattern are respectively established.
