The invention provides a vehicle body rear structure. The vehicle body rear structure includes a rear floor, a floor reinforcing member, a traction load receiving portion, and a rear load receiving member. The rear floor is disposed at the rear of the vehicle body. The floor reinforcing member is provided on the lower surface of the rear floor and extends forward of the vehicle from the rear end of the rear floor. The traction load receiving portion protrudes downward from the rear portion of the rear floor through the floor reinforcing member. The rear load bearing member protrudes from the lower portion of the rear wall of the floor reinforcement member further toward the vehicle rear side than the traction load bearing portion.
