Described is a storage element (1) which can be built into a vehicle interior trim, in particular into an instrument panel (16), and which comprises a tray (4) and a lifting extraction device (3) comprising: a frame rail (5) which can be fixedly fastened to a side wall (21) of the vehicle interior trim; a tray (4), on which a tray guide rail (6) is arranged, which is fastened in particular in a fixable manner to the tray (4); and two central rails (7, 8) which are arranged so as to be slidable and pivotable together with the frame rail (5) and the tray rail (6) and which are coupled to each other so as to be slidable relative to each other in the direction of the longitudinal axis (L) thereof, the frame rail (2) being coupled to a first central rail (7) via a first pivot guide link (10), the tray guide rail (6) is connected to a second central guide rail (8) through a second pivoting guide connecting rod (11); a stabilizing unit (9) is arranged on the tray (4) or the tray guide rail (6) and on the side wall (21) of the vehicle interior or the frame guide rail (5), the stabilizing unit (9) comprising a guide groove (95) which stabilizes the lifting movement of the tray guide rail (6) and a guide element (92) which is arranged on the side wall (21) of the vehicle interior or on the frame guide rail (5). And guiding the guide element in the guide groove (95) at least during a partial lifting movement of the tray guide rail (6).
