The invention discloses a traffic flow prediction and reinforcement learning combined adaptive traffic signal control method, and relates to the technical field of traffic signal control, and the key points of the technical scheme are that the method specifically comprises the following steps: S1, obtaining the number and speed information of vehicles at an entrance and an exit of an intersection, the change trend of the traffic flow in a period of time in the future is predicted based on the acquired information; s2, determining an optimal release phase at the current moment according to the traffic flow prediction result and the real-time traffic information; s3, obtaining the optimal phase green light time through reinforcement learning according to the traffic flow prediction result and the traffic signal field detection data; and S4, the traffic signal control equipment adaptively adjusts parameters such as a signal period, green light time and a phase sequence according to the signal scheme to realize adaptive control of traffic signals at the plane intersection. According to the method, the traffic flow is predicted and the intersection state is represented, so that the self-adaption of traffic signal control is realized.
