The invention discloses a vehicle front and rear braking force distribution method and device based on HHO. The method comprises the following steps that the total required braking force value Fu of a whole vehicle is obtained, the state coefficient of the whole vehicle is obtained, the value range of a braking force distribution coefficient is obtained according to the state coefficient, and the optimal value of the braking force distribution coefficient is iteratively calculated according to the value range; wherein the whole vehicle state coefficient comprises the mass center height, the distance between the center lines of the front and rear axles of wheels, the axle distance and the vehicle deceleration; and distributing the total demand braking force value Fu to the front braking force and the rear wheel friction braking force according to the optimal value of the braking force distribution coefficient. According to the technical scheme, the front braking force and the rear braking force of the automobile can be reasonably distributed, and the braking system of the automobile is improved, so that the energy recovery efficiency is maximized, meanwhile, the state of the automobile can be kept stable, and the safety requirement can be met.
