The invention discloses a double-motor electric drive system and method for a commercial vehicle, and belongs to the field of new energy automobiles, the system adopts a double-motor structure, double motors provide power, a first shaft is connected with a driven transmission assembly through a gear shifting assembly to achieve direct gear output, or the gear shifting assembly connects an active transmission assembly with the driven transmission assembly to achieve direct gear output.
