The invention relates to the technical field of recreation facility detection, in particular to an unmanned aerial vehicle system for high-altitude cableway steel cable detection, which comprises a rotor unmanned aerial vehicle in wireless communication with a ground control station or a flight controller, a tail end operation execution mechanism, a planar two-degree-of-freedom sliding guide rail mechanism and a steel cable detection device, wherein the rotor unmanned aerial vehicle is connected with the tail end operation executing mechanism; the tail end operation executing mechanism is fixedly arranged on the planar two-degree-of-freedom sliding guide rail mechanism; the steel cable detection device is installed below the planar two-degree-of-freedom sliding guide rail mechanism used for adjusting the position of the steel cable detection device and used for detecting whether a steel cable of the aerial cableway is damaged or not. The function of controlling the steel cable detection device to detect the moving speed on the high-altitude steel cable is achieved by adopting the special structure of the tail end execution structure. The precise position adjustment function of the steel cable detection device is realized by adopting a plane two-degree-of-freedom sliding guide rail mode. The function of detecting whether the aerial cableway steel cable is damaged or not is achieved based on the steel cable detection device.
