The method comprises the steps that in response to a brake lamp lightening signal sent by a brake lamp switch, whether the current position of the concealable empennage is a fixed position outside a vehicle or not is judged, and under the condition that the current position of the concealable empennage is the fixed position outside the vehicle, an empennage brake lamp is controlled to be lightened. On the other hand, under the condition that the current position of the concealable empennage is not the fixed position outside the vehicle, the high braking lamp is controlled to be lightened. Therefore, when the empennage brake lamp is controlled to be lightened, the empennage brake lamp can conform to relevant regulations.
