The invention discloses municipal pipeline mounting equipment based on a BIM model technology and belongs to the field of municipal pipe networks. The municipal pipeline mounting equipment comprises a crane, a single-group pulley, a first steel wire rope, a lifting hook, a second steel wire rope and a third steel wire rope. The crane is connected with the upper end of the second steel wire rope, the second steel wire rope penetrates through the single-set pulley, the first steel wire rope is installed on the first pipeline, the lower end of the second steel wire rope is installed on the second pipeline, one end of the third steel wire rope is connected with the single-set pulley, and the other end of the third steel wire rope is connected with the single-set pulley. The other end is connected with the first steel wire rope through a lifting hook. The invention discloses a municipal pipeline installation method based on a BIM model technology. The municipal pipeline installation method comprises the following specific steps that a first pipe and a second pipe are connected through a preliminary connector; and the two ends of the third steel wire rope are connected with the first steel wire rope and the second steel wire rope correspondingly, hoisting is conducted, so that the connector is shrunk, the gap is decreased, and force unloading is conducted.
