The invention discloses a method for installing a wind turbine generator in a split mode through a crane ship. The method comprises the steps that firstly, the crane ship and a transportation barge reach the installation site of the wind turbine generator; step 2, hoisting the bottom section tower drum on the fan foundation by a crane ship; thirdly, the crane ship hoists the second section of tower drum on the bottom section of tower drum; fourthly, the crane ship hoists the third section of tower drum on the second section of tower drum; 5, the crane ship hoists the top section of the tower drum on the third section of the tower drum; sixthly, a tool tower drum is arranged on a main deck of the crane ship; seventhly, the engine room of the draught fan is hoisted to the tool tower barrel through the crane ship; 8, the crane ship sequentially hoists the three blades of the fan to a hub located at the front end of a cabin on the tool tower tube, and the cabin and the three blades form a semi-integral fan; and ninthly, the crane ship hoists the semi-integral draught fan to the top section tower barrel, and in other words, a cabin in the semi-integral draught fan is installed on the top section tower barrel. The problems that the efficiency is low and the cost is high when a fan is installed in a split mode are effectively solved.
