The invention belongs to the technical field of computer vision and intelligent traffic, and discloses a highway traffic jam detection method based on an improved CrowdDet algorithm. According to the invention, target detection knowledge is used to carry out vehicle detection on a highway in a congestion scene, and detected vehicle traffic parameters are used to carry out traffic state evaluation. Comprising the following steps: (1) installing a camera on an expressway, collecting a monitoring video on the expressway through the camera, and carrying out frame extraction, screening, labeling and the like on the video to obtain images for training and testing; (2) using an improved CrowdDet target detection algorithm to detect vehicles in a traffic jam scene; and (3) on the basis of the detected vehicle traffic parameters, dividing the vehicle running speed in combination with an expressway service level (LOS) and a traffic index speed method so as to evaluate the traffic state. Although there are many scenes causing the congestion of the expressway and the duration time of the congestion is different, the method provided by the invention is suitable for most scenes.

    本发明属于计算机视觉和智能交通技术领域,公开了一种基于改进CrowdDet算法的高速公路交通拥堵检测的方法。本发明利用目标检测知识来进行拥堵场景下高速公路的车辆检测,并利用检测到的车辆交通参数进行交通状态评估。包括以下步骤:(1)在高速公路上安装摄像头,通过摄像头采集高速公路上的监控视频,并对视频进行抽帧、筛选、标注等工作获得训练和测试用的图像;(2)用改进的CrowdDet目标检测算法对交通拥堵场景下的车辆进行检测;(3)基于以上检测到的车辆交通参数,结合高速公路服务水平(LOS)以及交通学分位速度法对车辆运行速度进行划分,进而对交通状态评估。虽然造成高速公路拥堵的场景很多,导致拥堵持续的时间也不同,但是我们提出的方法适用于大部分场景。
