The control system includes an adaptive controller (112) configured to dynamically activate one or more base controllers of a set of base controllers including at least two base controllers, each base controller configured to apply a control function acting on an actuator of the vehicle to a vehicle parameter, the control functions are separate based on an accuracy indicator of the perceptual system determined from the real-time value of the variable.
