The invention relates to a public electric vehicle charging anti-theft socket and an anti-theft and charging method.The socket comprises a socket body and a wire clamp connected with the socket body, the wire clamp comprises a wire support and a wire cover which can be rotationally opened or closed, and the sides, close to each other, of the wire support and the wire cover are connected through a support connector; and pressure sensors are arranged on the sides, facing the interior, of the electric wire support and the electric wire cover correspondingly, and the pressure sensors are arranged on the sides, facing the interior, of the electric wire support and the electric wire cover correspondingly. The method comprises the steps of plug-in induction, electric wire locking, unlocking password sending, socket power transmission, timing charging, charger plug pulling-out by a user, unlocking, taking away from a cable clamp, socket power failure and timing charging stopping. According to the invention, the electric wire of the charger can be locked and prevented from being stolen, billing is carried out according to the time when the charger is inserted into the socket, and long-time occupation of a public socket after the electric vehicle is fully charged is reduced.
