The system comprises a vertical antenna and a horizontal antenna which are used for acquiring a vertical electric field signal and a horizontal electric field signal of a space lightning radiation source, an integrating circuit which converts the electric field signal into voltage, and a high-pass amplification circuit which carries out clutter signal filtering on the integrated voltage signal to complete waveform identification and matching of a radiation signal and carries out signal amplification. The high-pass amplification circuit is used for amplifying the lightning radiation source, the sampling analog-to-digital conversion circuit is used for sampling signals output by the high-pass amplification circuit and converting analog signals into digital signals, the radio positioning antenna is used for acquiring lightning direction information of the lightning radiation source, and the embedded Linux system is used for calculating the distance of the lightning radiation source by combining the digital signals and the lightning direction information. The method is used for calculating the distance between the radiation source and the observation point.
