The invention discloses a battery monitoring method and system based on automobile battery parameters, and the method comprises the steps: measuring the actual surface temperature of a non-dormant automobile battery, and testing the non-dormant current and non-dormant voltage of the non-dormant automobile battery if the actual surface temperature is smaller than or equal to a surface temperature threshold value, constructing a dynamic characteristic equation of the non-dormant automobile battery according to the non-dormant current and the non-dormant voltage, solving the dynamic characteristic equation to obtain a theoretical surface temperature, constructing a surface temperature difference gradient value by utilizing the actual surface temperature and the theoretical surface temperature, and if the surface temperature difference gradient value is smaller than or equal to a surface temperature difference gradient threshold value, determining that the automobile battery does not sleep. If the actual surface temperature is larger than the surface temperature threshold value or the surface temperature difference gradient value is larger than the surface temperature difference gradient threshold value, the state of the non-dormant automobile battery is adjusted to be a dormant state, and a standby battery of the dormant automobile battery is started to replace the dormant automobile battery to work. In this way, the safety of automobile battery monitoring can be improved.
