An automatic braking system of a composite energy automatic driving vehicle comprises an environment sensing system and an automatic braking system body. The environment sensing system comprises a camera, a laser radar, a millimeter wave radar and a signal receiver for vehicle-base communication with a traffic signal intersection; the automatic braking system comprises a mechanical braking system and a composite energy regenerative braking system. The environment sensing system detects distance, speed and acceleration signals between a current vehicle and a front vehicle and phase information of a traffic signal lamp in front based on vehicle-base communication transmission, related data is processed by the brake controller and then a deceleration instruction is sent, and the composite energy regenerative braking system recovers braking energy and brakes. Or the composite energy regenerative braking system and the mechanical braking system are used for combined braking, or the mechanical braking system is used for mechanical braking. According to the invention, the braking control problem of the electric vehicle loaded with the composite energy system in the automatic driving environment can be solved, and the regenerative braking energy recovery effect of the automatic driving vehicle is improved.
