The embodiment of the invention provides a battery heating device and method based on charging and discharging of a motor winding and an electric vehicle, and relates to the technical field of electric vehicle power systems. The battery heating device comprises a power battery, a motor controller, a series inductor and a vehicle motor. The motor controller comprises a three-phase inverter and a direct-current bus supporting capacitor, the power battery is connected with the series inductor, one end of the direct-current bus supporting capacitor is connected with the series inductor, the other end of the direct-current bus supporting capacitor is connected with the power battery, and the three-phase inverter is connected with the direct-current bus supporting capacitor in parallel; the vehicle motor is connected with the three-phase inverter, the winding inductor of the vehicle motor is controlled by the three-phase inverter of the motor controller to store and release energy, alternating-current oscillating current is generated on the direct-current bus, and heat is generated on the internal resistor of the power battery through the alternating-current oscillating current. The battery heating device can achieve the technical effect of improving the heating efficiency of the battery.
