The present disclosure relates to a hybrid electric vehicle and a method of supporting audio input/output thereof that can control powertrain noise to improve voice command recognition of a vehicle control system and improve a driver's experience with an audio guidance system. An audio input/output support method of a hybrid electric vehicle may include: determining a first condition of an audio input/output function and a second condition of an internal noise level; and performing noise reduction control by inducing an engine off state based on the current driving mode when the first condition and the second condition are satisfied.
