The invention discloses a braking energy recovery method and system and an electric motorcycle, and the method comprises the steps: S1, determining the axle load of a vehicle according to the motion state information of the vehicle in the running process of the vehicle; s2, determining a vehicle ground braking force limit value according to the vehicle axle load; s3, determining a motor braking force limit value; s4, determining a motor braking force instruction and a mechanical braking force instruction according to the vehicle ground braking force limit value and the motor braking force limit value; s5, according to the motor braking force instruction and the mechanical braking force instruction, a motor braking torque instruction and an electric hydraulic cylinder pressure instruction are calculated; and S6, the motor braking torque instruction and the electric hydraulic cylinder pressure instruction are converted into control currents, and braking control is conducted on the vehicle according to the control currents. On the premise of considering braking safety and driving comfort, braking energy recovery maximization in a large-range vehicle driving scene can be achieved.
