The invention discloses a control method of a brake resistor system, and relates to the technical field of electric automobiles, the control method outputs a PWM signal through a control strategy of a control module, and realizes DC end voltage reduction and energy balance adjustment through a brake resistor, thereby ensuring battery SOC safety and voltage safety, improving driving experience, and protecting battery and whole automobile safety. Besides, according to the control method, PWM signals are output through a control strategy of a control module, capacitor storage energy is consumed through a brake resistor, and therefore a safer active discharging method is achieved, meanwhile, timely and safe control over active discharging is achieved based on a voltage detection feedback closed loop, passive discharging resistance of a high-voltage loop of the motor controller is saved, and the service life of the motor controller is prolonged. And the control cost is effectively optimized.
