The invention relates to the technical field of spaceflight, in particular to a satellite docking mechanism and a docking method. The satellite docking mechanism provided by the invention comprises an optical guiding module, a locking module, a multi-dimensional movement module and a docking mechanism shell, the optical guide module is mounted on a housing of the docking mechanism, and is used for sending an optical signal to a docking target, forming optical projection on the docking target, collecting an optical projection signal, generating position relation information of the docking mechanism and the docking target and sending the position relation information to the multi-dimensional motion module; the multi-dimensional motion module moves according to the position relation information and adjusts the posture of the docking mechanism until the optical projection on the docking target is in a specified docking shape; and the locking module locks the docking target according to the position relation information of the optical guide module and the motion information of the multi-dimensional motion module. The non-cooperative target satellite docking mechanism can be docked with various different types of non-cooperative target satellites, and is simple in mechanism, safe and convenient to control, high in reliability and high in docking precision.
