A wheel brake system architecture for an aircraft (1000), the architecture comprising a friction brake (20); an electromechanical actuator (30) associated with a power module (33) connected to the digital communication module (34) through a first driver module (35); and a controller (50) comprising a power supply unit (51) for supplying power to the power module (33) by delivering a supply voltage (Vc) to the power module (33), and a control unit (52) connected to the digital communication unit for transmitting a digital control signal to the digital communication module (34). The control unit (52) is also connected to the driver unit (35) via an analog wired connection (60) in order to transmit a first analog braking command thereto, the first driver module (33) driving the power module (33) in accordance with the first analog braking command to generate a degraded supply current for the actuator.
