The invention provides an automatic train operation traction brake control method and system based on a PWM technology, and the method comprises the following steps: a control setting step: setting control logic and control equipment of automatic train operation traction brake, and connecting the control equipment with a vehicle-mounted system VATC and a vehicle; and a control and use step: the vehicle-mounted system uses control logic and control equipment to carry out traction electric control and mechanical brake hybrid control, and uses a hard wire circuit to drive a vehicle traction brake device to carry out traction brake control of automatic train operation. A control interface adopts a hard wire interface circuit, so that the reliability is high, and the dependence on a TCMS system is reduced.
