The invention belongs to the technical field of automobile tire maintenance, and provides a tire inspection mode control method and system, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining a tire inspection control instruction; determining vehicle running torque, and calculating the number of turns required by a vehicle power system; the vehicle is controlled to enter an automatic driving mode, and the vehicle is controlled to run with the running torque according to the preset direction until the required number of turns of rotation is met or certain resistance is borne; and controlling the vehicle to stop and quit the automatic driving mode. The automatic driving technology is ingeniously utilized, so that the vehicle automatically and slowly runs, a driver can visually observe the condition of foreign matters around the whole tire, the inspection process is saved, and the safety is guaranteed.
