A power system of an inspection robot comprises an electromagnetic track and the inspection robot running on the electromagnetic track, and the inspection robot is provided with a power utilization loop and an energy storage circuit. The electromagnetic track is provided with two electrified guide rails and two variable power supplies which are respectively connected with starting ends of the two electrified guide rails; the two electrified guide rails are respectively communicated with direct current, and the current directions of the two guide rails are always opposite; a coil and a plurality of conductors are fixed to the plane of the bottom of the inspection robot, the directions of the coil and the conductors are perpendicular to the direction of the track, and the coil is connected to the top of the robot and connected with a power source of the robot to form a wire loop. The conductor is connected to the top of the robot through a wire to be connected with the capacitor to form a conductor loop; the capacitor is serially connected with the power supply; the inspection robot communicates with the two variable power supplies through the communication system, and the voltage and current directions output by the variable power supplies are adjusted in real time according to the motion state of the inspection robot. According to the invention, the robot can automatically generate electric energy during operation.
