The invention provides an elevator which is provided with an operation board capable of detecting contact operation and non-contact operation and can reduce false detection of the non-contact operation. An elevator (100) is provided with: an operation panel (20) having a contact operation detection unit (21) capable of detecting a contact operation and a non-contact operation detection unit (22) capable of detecting a non-contact operation; and an operation reception determination unit (112) that determines whether or not to receive the non-contact operation, and that determines whether or not to receive the non-contact operation when the contact operation detection unit (21) detects a contact operation. When the non-contact operation detection unit (22) detects a non-contact operation during at least one of a first period from a point in time at which the contact operation is detected by a predetermined time to the point in time and a second period from the point in time to a predetermined time after the point in time, the non-contact operation is detected by the non-contact operation detection unit (22). The operation reception determination unit (112) does not receive the non-contact operation.
