One or more embodiments of the present disclosure relate to an EV charging connector and an EV charging station. The invention relates to an EV charging connector (100). The EV charging connector (100) comprises a hybrid cooling system having a first cooling device (105, 106) for cooling a first portion of the connector (100) in an active area (120) of the first cooling device, and a second cooling device (108) for cooling a second portion of the connector in an active area (122) of the second cooling device. The first part and the second part are thermally connected with each other; and the action area of the first cooling device is configured to be not overlapped or only not obviously overlapped with the action area of the second cooling device.
