The invention discloses a suspension elevator shock absorption and isolation system which comprises an elevator shaft and a one-way translation limiting device. An elevator shock insulation displacement space is arranged between the elevator shaft and a surrounding structure, the upper end of the elevator shaft is hung on a main body structure on the upper portion of a shock insulation layer, and a bottom plate of the elevator shaft is arranged on a foundation structure raft on the lower portion of the shock insulation layer through a sliding plate supporting device. The one-way translation limiting devices are arranged at entrances and exits of all floors of the suspension elevator. The sliding plate supporting device can achieve relative translation between the elevator shaft and the raft within a certain range. The one-way translation limiting device can achieve translation of the elevator shaft away from or deviating from the entrance and exit of the elevator hall within a certain range in the shock insulation displacement space. A seismic isolation gap is formed between the outer wall of the periphery of the elevator shaft and the inner wall of the periphery of the seismic isolation displacement space, and the size of the seismic isolation gap is the maximum displacement of the elevator shaft towards the periphery. Therefore, it can be ensured that people do not fall into the deformation space around the elevator shaft during an earthquake.
