During braking, the valve element moves rightwards, the oil inlet control port is opened firstly, the oil outlet control port is closed step by step, the plunger assembly moves rightwards, and a brake cylinder is pressurized for the first time; and then, a pressurizing opening is opened to perform secondary pressurizing on the brake cylinder. According to the boosting brake pump, the complete braking process can be completed only by treading with one foot, and stable braking force can be provided for a brake cylinder only by slightly treading at the initial stage of braking, so that a vehicle is rapidly decelerated, and accidents caused by locking of the vehicle are prevented; in the later period of braking, large enough braking force can be provided for the brake cylinder, and on the premise that safety is guaranteed, a vehicle stops moving rapidly.
