The method for controlling the fuel cell system (12) comprises: a calculation step (S3) in which a processing circuit (66) executes a program recorded in a storage unit (68), thereby calculating a load output (Pload) and calculating a maximum output (Pmax); a comparison step (S4) for comparing the load output (Pload) with the maximum output (Pmax); and a control step (S7) in which, when the load output (Pload) exceeds the maximum output (Pmax), the power generation output (Pfc) is increased, thereby reducing the storage output (Pbat) consumed by the load (20).
