The invention relates to a pump assembly (10), in particular for generating pressure in a brake circuit of an adjustable booster brake system of a motor vehicle. Known pump assemblies (10) have a piston-cylinder unit (12) as a pressure generator, wherein the piston (14) is actuated by means of a piston drive (22). The piston drive (22) converts a rotational movement of a nut (32) for driving this piston drive (22) into a translational movement of a screw (38), which is in turn connected to the piston (14) in a rotationally fixed manner. According to the invention, the piston (14) is a steel component, and a plastic forming part (54) on the piston base (52) forms a device for connecting the screw (38) to the piston (14) in a rotationally fixed manner.
