The invention belongs to the field of vehicle steering systems, and particularly relates to a mining vehicle steering system capable of reducing the turning radius. Comprising a vehicle existing steering system, a vehicle existing braking system and a sliding steering system. The vehicle existing braking system comprises a front wheel wet brake; the sliding steering system comprises a control oil cylinder, an anti-explosion electric control pressure regulating valve, an anti-explosion electric control three-position four-way valve, a service brake valve, a shuttle valve, a micro-processing unit, an angle sensor, a rotating speed sensor, a distance measuring sensor and an anti-explosion three-position proportional switch. In an existing steering system of the vehicle, two front wheel wet brakes are each provided with a control oil cylinder, the maximum steering angle of the front wheel wet brakes is locked when the control oil cylinders act, and the two control oil cylinders are connected in parallel and connected with a control oil port of an anti-explosion electric control three-position four-way valve at the same time; according to the mining vehicle steering system capable of reducing the turning radius, the turning radius of an integral vehicle can be effectively reduced, and the trafficability of the vehicle is improved.
