The invention discloses a rope traction type wave compensation platform which comprises a base, the base is a laboratory ship motion simulation device, a motion control platform is installed on the base in a rigid linkage mode, and the motion control platform moves synchronously with the base and comprises a truss and a hexagonal plate. The truss is provided with three groups of lever mechanisms and comprises a first hydraulic cylinder, a second hydraulic cylinder, a lever, a counter weight and a hinge pin; three groups of rope traction mechanisms are distributed on the hexagonal plate and comprise a pulley I, a pulley II, a pulley bracket and a steel wire rope; the compensation platform surrounds the center of the three sets of rope traction mechanisms and comprises a supporting platform, a stand column and a working platform, the compensation platform is suspended over the motion control platform through steel wire ropes of the three sets of rope traction mechanisms, and the compensation platform is provided with a displacement sensor. The structure is compact and reasonable, cost is low and realization is easy.
