The invention provides a direct current charging pile which comprises a docking station, a power conversion module and a charging gun, and the power conversion module is detachably connected with the docking station. The docking station comprises a heat dissipation device, the power conversion module can be installed in the docking station to work, the docking station is connected with an alternating-current power grid, the power conversion module is connected with the docking station, and the power conversion module converts alternating current output by the alternating-current power grid into direct current needed by the electric vehicle. The heat dissipation device in the docking station takes away heat generated by the power conversion module. The power conversion module can also be detached from the docking station and connected with an alternating current power grid under the condition that no docking station exists, the power conversion module converts alternating current output by the alternating current power grid into direct current needed by the electric vehicle, and the power conversion module can be suitable for an electric vehicle charging scene without a charging pile or an OBC on the vehicle.
