The invention discloses an automobile short-distance braking system which comprises a wheel driving motor used for driving wheels of an automobile. The intelligent braking system and the wheel driving motor act together to realize energy regenerative braking; the eight-piston brake fixed clamp is mounted on a wheel and is matched with the intelligent brake system to brake the wheel; the air suspension system comprises an air storage tank and an exhaust pipe for exhausting air towards the front of the automobile, and the air in the air storage tank is exhausted through the exhaust pipe when the automobile is braked; the adjustable empennage is installed at the tail of the automobile and comprises an empennage body and a driving mechanism for driving the empennage body to ascend and descend. The problems that in the prior art, the obtained deceleration is limited during emergency braking, and the braking response time is too long can be solved, and the aim that the braking distance per hundred kilometers is smaller than 30 meters is achieved.
