The rope wheel assembly comprises a traction rope, a lift car diversion sheave, a counterweight diversion sheave, a counterweight guide wheel arranged above the counterweight and a lift car guide wheel arranged above the lift car, the lift car diversion sheave is installed at the top of the lift car, and the counterweight diversion sheave is installed at the top of the counterweight. A traction wheel, a counterweight diversion sheave, a counterweight guide wheel, a lift car diversion sheave and a lift car guide wheel of the traction machine are close to or located on the same plane along the center line of the lift car in the depth direction, and a traction rope is wound around the lift car diversion sheave, the lift car guide wheel, the counterweight guide wheel, the traction wheel of the traction machine and the counterweight diversion sheave. And therefore, the lift car and the counterweight can do lifting motion in the lift shaft. Therefore, fewer guide wheels are adopted, the counterweight is arranged at the rear, the bending frequency of the hoisting rope is reduced, and the service life of the hoisting rope is prolonged.
