A ball joint squeezer for mounting or removing a ball joint or bushing into or from a suspension component of a vehicle. Generally, the squeezer includes a first frame portion and a second frame portion, a spine/shaft coupling the first frame portion and the second frame portion together, and an actuator coupled to one of the first frame portion and the second frame portion. The dimensions and spacing of the actuators are set such that the resultant force of the actuators minimizes the bending moment (and bending stress) about the shaft. The actuators may also share a feed line that provides a balanced pressure across the two actuators. This reduces the bending axis of the shaft and causes the first and second frame portions to remain substantially parallel and the force to coincide with the movement axis to mount or remove the ball joint.
