The invention discloses a hoisting tool for an overhead line of a power distribution network. The hoisting tool comprises a supporting assembly, a hoisting rope assembly and a clamping assembly, the supporting assembly comprises a bottom plate, a vertical plate and a top plate. The vertical plate is vertically arranged on the bottom plate; the top plate is arranged on the top of the vertical plate; a mounting cavity is formed between the top plate and the bottom plate; the lifting rope assembly comprises a rotating drum, a lifting wheel and a lifting rope; the rotary drum is rotatably arranged in the mounting cavity; the hanging wheel is rotatably arranged at the bottom of the top plate; one end of the lifting rope is fixedly connected with the rotating drum, and the other end of the lifting rope penetrates through the lifting wheel; the clamping and stopping assembly comprises a pedal, a clamping and stopping wheel, a limiting rod and a spring. The clamping and stopping wheel is fixedly sleeved on the rotary drum; the pedal is slidably arranged in the mounting cavity in the vertical direction; two ends of the spring are respectively connected with the baseplate and the pedal; the limiting rod is arranged on the top of the pedal and located under the clamping and stopping wheel. A worker can control whether the rotary drum can rotate or not and control the rotary drum to stop rotating at any time by treading the pressing plate, so that the worker can control the lifting rope assembly more conveniently.
