The invention provides a method and a device for charging a storage battery of mobile energy complementing equipment, the mobile energy complementing equipment is used for performing mobile energy complementing on a new energy automobile of a user, and the mobile energy complementing equipment comprises the storage battery, a power battery and a control module, the power battery is used for supplying energy to the new energy automobile when the mobile energy complementing equipment carries out mobile energy complementing. The method is applied to a control module. The method comprises the following steps: detecting the voltage of the storage battery when the time when the mobile energy complementing equipment is in a dormant state reaches a first preset duration; and when it is detected that the voltage of the storage battery is smaller than a first preset threshold value, the power battery is controlled to charge the storage battery.
