The invention provides a state-of-charge adjusting method and device for a battery system, and the method comprises the steps: obtaining a target cumulative throughput of the battery system during the service life, and building battery aging curves of a first system battery and a second system battery in different states of charge, the battery aging curve is used for representing a mapping relation between the residual capacity of the battery and the accumulated throughput, and determining a plurality of target throughput segmented intervals and a battery aging curve corresponding to each target throughput segmented interval according to the battery aging curves of the first system battery and the second system battery in different charge states, and determining a target throughput interval corresponding to the target cumulative throughput, and adjusting the charge state of the first system battery or the second system battery according to a battery aging curve corresponding to the target throughput interval. According to the invention, the accuracy of the overall state of charge evaluation of the battery system can be improved, and the battery system can be ensured not to be affected by the aged battery while maintaining the maximum capacity release.
