The method comprises the following steps: acquiring driving state information of a target vehicle driving on a target road surface; according to the driving state information, the driving acceleration and the acceleration change rate of the target vehicle are determined; determining an initial slope estimation value of the target road surface based on the driving acceleration; determining a gradient compensation value of the target road surface based on the driving acceleration and the acceleration change rate; and performing compensation processing on the initial slope estimation value by adopting the slope compensation value to obtain a target slope estimation value of the target road surface. According to the invention, the technical problem of unreasonable power output control strategy caused by low slope estimation accuracy in the prior art is solved.
