The invention provides an aluminum alloy which comprises the following components in percentage by mass: 8%-11% of Si, 0.01%-0.4% of Cr, 0.001%-0.01% of P, 0.001%-0.05% of Sr, less than 0.12% of Fe, less than 0.005% of Mn and 87.5%-91.988% of Al. By strictly controlling the content of Mn and Fe and containing specific amounts of Si, Cr, P and Sr elements, the aluminum alloy which has ultrahigh elongation and can keep good die-casting property at the same time can be obtained. The aluminum alloy can have ultrahigh elongation without heat treatment, and can be suitable for various structural parts with higher requirements on the elongation.
