The embodiment of the invention provides an axle gear box for a railway engineering vehicle, which comprises an axle box body assembly I and an axle box body assembly II, and the axle box body assembly I and the axle box body assembly II are connected through a gap bridge universal transmission shaft; wherein the shaft box body assembly I is installed on a shaft I axle through a first rolling bearing, the shaft box body assembly II is installed on a shaft II axle through a second rolling bearing, and the shaft I axle and the shaft II axle are arranged in parallel. A main transmission system located in the axle box body assembly II drives the gap bridge universal transmission shaft to drive a first transmission system in the axle box body assembly I to rotate so as to enable an axle of the axle I connected with the first transmission system to rotate on one hand, and drives a second transmission system in the axle box body assembly II to rotate on the other hand so as to enable an axle of the axle II connected with the second transmission system to rotate. Compared with the prior art, the axle gear box is simple in structure, and can realize simultaneous driving of single input and two shafts, so that an input universal transmission shaft of the axle gear box is saved, the cost is saved, and the layout is more compact.
