Described herein is a method (100), performed on a smart device, of calculating and outputting pressure information regarding a state of an actual pressure of a gas cylinder of a door damper at 20 DEG C, the method comprising: calculating a pressure of the gas cylinder at 20 DEG C; on the smart device: receive a pressure input (120, 160, 170) from an uncompensated pressure gauge indicative of an actual pressure of the cylinder of the door damper at ambient temperature; receiving a temperature input (130) indicative of an actual temperature of the cylinder of the door damper; and calculating the actual pressure of the gas cylinder of the door damper at ambient temperature using the input and converting it into a pressure at a temperature of 20 DEG C (140), and the method further comprises outputting pressure information regarding a state of the gas cylinder of the door damper based on the converted pressure at 20 DEG C (150). A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium and processor, and a system including a smart device, each of which is further configured to perform the method, are also described herein.
