The invention discloses a large ram-type parafoil and a parachute opening method, and relates to the field of ram-type parafoils. The large-scale ram parafoil comprises a ram parafoil body and a topped parachute, the topped parachute is connected with the top of a middle air chamber of the ram parafoil body through a topped parachute connecting belt, and the topped parachute is connected with two topped parachute connecting ropes through a topped parachute center rope. A plurality of guide rings which are arranged at intervals in the unfolding direction are arranged at the tops of the two constraint air chambers on the two sides of the ram parafoil body respectively, the two towed parachute connecting ropes penetrate through the corresponding guide rings connected to the tops of the two constraint air chambers respectively, and the towed parachute connecting ropes and the corresponding guide rings are connected with at least one one-way elastic hook. The one-way elastic hooks are configured to penetrate through the corresponding guide rings in the direction away from the middle air chamber in a one-way mode.
