The invention discloses a delay control method of a rocket ejection seat program controller, which comprises the following steps: after a rocket ejection seat is started, an excitation mechanism starts a self-power supply module of the program controller, and the program controller is powered on; initializing a program controller, and firstly reading a seat starting signal state and a last self-checking mark; judging whether the last self-test state is normal or not, if the last self-test state is normal, carrying out normal state key item self-test, and if the last self-test state is abnormal, carrying out power-on self-test again until the power-on self-test is normal; if self-inspection of the normal state key item is passed, whether a seat starting signal exists or not is judged, if the seat starting signal is found, a delay control mode based on height is entered, and if the seat starting signal is not found, periodic self-inspection is entered, and the seat starting signal is monitored; if the normal state key item self-inspection is abnormal or the period self-inspection is abnormal, setting the self-inspection mark to be abnormal, and entering error processing; and repeating until periodic self-inspection is passed, and entering a normal delay control mode. And the overall life-saving performance of rocket ejection is improved.
