The invention discloses a brake signal generator and a generation method.The brake signal generator comprises an ejector rod, a connecting component and a potentiometer, a rotating shaft is arranged between the connecting component and the potentiometer, the near end of the rotating shaft is connected with the outer side wall of the connecting component, and the far end of the rotating shaft is connected with the potentiometer; the potentiometer comprises a first electric brush, a second electric brush, a first electric conductor used for outputting a brake trigger signal and a resistor used for outputting a stroke signal, the first electric conductor is arranged on a motion path of the first electric brush, the first electric conductor and the first electric brush are in contact connection, and the resistor is arranged along a motion path of the second electric brush; the resistor body is in sliding connection with the second electric brush, the first electric brush and the second electric brush are both connected with the far end of the rotating shaft and rotate along with the rotating shaft, a rotating part is arranged at the near end of the rotating shaft, a first groove matched with the rotating part is formed in the outer side wall of the connecting part, and the connecting part drives the rotating part to move through the first groove.
