The invention relates to a method for installing a self-anchored nodular cast iron pipe in a tunnel. The method for installing the self-anchored nodular cast iron pipe in the tunnel comprises the following steps that S1, the pipe is checked and accepted; s2, the pipe enters a hole; s3, a hoisting system is designed, specifically, materials used by the hoisting system are calculated and selected according to construction technical specifications, and all stressed parts need to meet related stress requirements; s4, hoisting the pipe: hoisting the newly-installed pipe by adopting a hoisting frame, adjusting the position of the pipe, aligning an inserting opening of the newly-installed pipe with a bell mouth of the last section of installed pipe, and carrying out inserting and bearing installation by adopting a chain block method; s5, positioning and mounting the steel buttress; and S6, checking and accepting. According to the method for installing the self-anchored nodular cast iron pipe in the tunnel, the self-anchored nodular cast iron pipe can be efficiently and safely installed in a narrow space.
